I couldn't resist the fascination of this very japanese idea. Feeling time instead of measuring it is the idea that pushed Vinta designers, Kouhei Okamoto and Toshitaka Nakamura to create the beautiful Wooden Clock, I appreciate not only the refined shape but specially the idea behind it.



Magic company Materialise.MGX has suceeded again in surprising the audience. At Milan's Superstudio Piu they presented the new series pieces along with breathtaking prototypes.
Dan Yeffet from JellyLab designed the Hidden vase, a beautiful piece of Rapid Prototyping nature and the geometrical Polyvase available in a beautiful grass green.

There are many good reasons for me to love this original magazine rack that Driade will present for the first time this week at Milan. Designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, Omero is made of modular injected aluminium cones and steel legs, the result is a stunning simple and sophisticated object I completely fell in love with.



I love this clever Apple Slicer made of stainless steel designed by Jessica Battram on sale at Moma Store. Position the ingenious disc-shaped slicer on any apple and rotate to release perfect slices, if you don't need to cut the whole apple at once just leave the disc pressed against the fruit, and it will not dry out or turn brown.

Yerra is the spanish word for the farming event in which cattle are branded with a hot iron. Argentinean designers Patricio Lix Klett and Federico Churba have recently launched the Yerra cowhide rugs, inspired in the tradition of branding, but introducing contemporary design.
Formed by one square foot modules assembled through a heat process, the Yerra rugs are available in black, brown and brindle natural hides. via mocoloco






I love this candleholder made of Pyrex tubes. Arik Levy has given to Mistic a simple yet extremely elegant style that I find irresistible. Manufactured by the Turkish company Gaia&Gino that has recently launched a glassware collection by the Israeli designer.


CafeSolo, the awarded coffee maker by danish Eva Solo has dressed up in a new fancy outfit. Designers Claus Jensen and Henrik Hobaek created the knitted turtlenecks in three trendy colours.

Wow Wow is a new luxury brand commited to pampered pets and their discerning two legged companions. Their pieces combine the best craftmanship, animal husbandry and contemporary design; the result is a joyful experience for both dog and home owner.

Ribbon is a Japanese company making astonishing objects out of standard ribbon.
Makoto Yamaguchi designed the 0.6km table using 600 meters of ribbon for the tabletop, the silk effect of the material is simply delightful.
Uzu is a lampshade made entirely of ribbon. Designed by Rieko Miyata, the variation of the layers together with the light create a unique gradation of colour.



Also from the Uzu collection the bowl available in multiple sizes and colours.
The latest creation of Marcel Wanders for Normann Copenhagen is this stunning glass carafe complete with coloured plastic cups. The unexpected combination of materials and colours is simply delightful.
The Cognac Glass designed by Rikke Hagen is remarkable elegant.



With an extremely flat design, the candle designed by Christoph van Bommel creates an elegant translucency, revealing its inner wick structure which defines the path through which the fire will travel.

Designed by the talented spanish duo El Ultimo Grito, the Summer to Spring Collection is a delightful combination of bright colours, clever ideas and playful details.


ChilliChilly is a new brand based in Hong Kong that designs, manufactures and markets art for living. Their production includes dining and kitchenware, timepieces, office accessories, lighting and other household goods.
Decode is an aluminium clock that has the numbers coded so they become apparent when the hand intersects them. The clock received the GOOD DESIGN Award 2004.
Artist Collection is their new range of drinking glasses, with graphics designed by numerous artists: Genevieve Gauckler, Supermundane and Pars among others.


Alessi has recently presented the results of their new collaboration with Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola.
Orloff is a geometric bowl made out of a single stainless steel circle that is molded without any welds, available in two sizes.
Buckle is a stainless steel and genuine leather watch that can also be worn around the neck or transformed into a pocket watch thanks to a long leather strap.


I find this collection of home accesories by London based Finnish designer Anne Kyyro Quinn simply delightful.
Strong graphic impact, eye-catching colour combinations, highly desirable tactile quality and a clever selection of the materials characterize the handmade pieces that range from cushions to lightshades. She will be showing them on coming 100% Design in London.
